2K and developer Visual Concepts said demo will be released for the PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One on August 24. That’s a little over a week before the game launches for those platforms (plus PC, Stadia, and mobile devices), so that should give players plenty of time to get an idea of what’s new this year with the current gen version of the videogame.
There’s no word on whether the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game will also receive a demo at some point.
Accompanying the demo’s announcement was a post on the official NBA 2K21 website that describes the improvements Visual Concepts is bringing to the game. While the post goes into a fair amount of detail, the game’s Twitter sums up the improvements as so:
- Pro Stick Shooting upgrade
- 40 new Jump Shot Landings
- Overhauled dribble moves
- 50 new Size-Ups
- No more Quick Draw badge
- 6'8" PGs in MyCAREER
