NBA 2K24 Season 3 Launches with Exciting Updates and Fixes The highly anticipated Season 3 of NBA 2K24 is set to kick off on Friday, December 1st, at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET/4 PM BST on the next-gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
This new season promises an array of enhancements and fixes, ensuring an immersive gaming experience for basketball enthusiasts.
General Improvements:
The development team has diligently addressed visual discrepancies that could occur during the customization of certain created arenas.
Additionally, on-court text customization now supports spaces. The accuracy of the Utah Jazz's home, away, and secondary uniforms has been fine-tuned, specifically adjusting the logo on the shorts.
Uniform updates extend to several teams, with refreshed sponsor patches for the Charlotte Hornets, Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and Washington Wizards.
Player likeness updates, including tattoo and hair improvements for LaMelo Ball and new scans for prominent players, such as Maya Caldwell, Rhyne Howard, and others, further elevate the game's realism.
In anticipation of the NBA In-Season Tournament (IST), substantial work has been undertaken to optimize support for this exciting feature. 30 custom floors have been seamlessly integrated into the game, accompanied by improved UI and enhanced visibility during the season. Moreover, the All-Star Game format reverts to the traditional East-West style for the 2024 NBA All-Star game.
Gameplay Refinements:
Gameplay adjustments aim to enhance the overall experience, rectifying issues causing inadvertent basket interference violations during dunks. Additionally, improvements have been made to reduce lost ball fumbles when ball handlers collide with defenders.
The defensive movement speed gap relating to Lateral Quickness has been adjusted, offering a more balanced playing field. Several fixes target rare issues, including layups "blocking themselves" and an exploit allowing double-dribbles with specific emotes, ensuring a smoother and fairer gameplay experience.
City/Pro-Am/Rec/Theater Enhancements:
The City sees a host of improvements in performance, stability, and visuals, providing players with a more immersive environment. Quest requirements for affiliation selection have been lowered, facilitating a smoother transition for players.
Furthermore, players now retain badge progression in REC, even if opposing players quit at the end of the game. Uniform issues causing REC players on opposing teams to wear the same jerseys have been addressed. Camera settings now persist between games in the City, and rare disconnects in Starting 5 games have been fixed.
MyCareer/Quests/Progression Tweaks:
Numerous improvements grace menus throughout MyTEAM, offering a more streamlined experience. In Triple Threat modes, crowd behavior has been adjusted to prevent members from walking onto the court prematurely. Substituted players now properly receive active Coach Boosts, and a rare situation where the in-game Agenda Tracker inaccurately reports progress has been resolved.
Various fixes address issues in Clutch Time, Triple Threat Challenge gameplay, and ensure the correct application of shoes to Player Cards. Adjusted Team Communication settings now function correctly in multiplayer game modes.
MyNBA/The W Stability Fixes:
Stability fixes and improvements abound in MyNBA, MyNBA Online, and The W. An issue allowing ineligible players to be signed to contract extensions in MyNBA has been rectified, and further changes prevent players from updating to younger heads during age likeness updates.
MyNBA Online sees the addition of the Admin Activity Log menu and support for contract extensions. Various hangs during offseason periods in MyNBA Online have been addressed, ensuring a smoother gaming experience.
In The W, the Bet on Woman trophy now unlocks as intended upon completion. With these comprehensive updates, NBA 2K24 Season 3 promises an even more immersive and polished gaming experience for fans worldwide.
