NBA 2K25 Cover

The annual NBA 2K Cover Athlete selection process has evolved into a highly anticipated event that kicks off the new wave of hype and news for the upcoming game. This year should be no different, as 2K fans predict who they think the NBA 2K25 Cover Athlete will be. The NBA 2K25 Cover Athlete can be expected to be announced during the NBA 2K25 2024 Summer League.

Standard Edition

Anthony Edwards, a.k.a. “Ant Man”, is one of the funnest players to watch in the league. The Minnesota Timberwolves superstar has taken his game and the Twolves to new heights this season with his electrifying and aggressive playstyle. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft is just 22-year-old and has been called “the future face of the NBA”.

Legend Edition

For the Legend Edition, considering the recent passing of NBA legends, there are a few potential candidates:

Bill Russell, who passed away on July 31, 2022, would be an appropriate choice. Russell is a Boston Celtics legend who won 11 NBA championships in 13 years, the last two as the first black coach in any major U.S. sport. His impact on the court and his civil rights advocacy make him a worthy candidate for the Legend Edition.

Bill Walton, who passed away on May 27, 2024, would also be a solid choice. Walton was an exceptional player who won two NBA championships and later had a successful career as a commentator.

Jerry West, who passed away on June 12, 2024, is another strong option. West is an iconic figure in the NBA, both for his playing career and his time in management. His silhouette is used in the official NBA logo.

WNBA Edition

As for the WNBA edition, the cover athlete is yet to be predicted. However, considering the trend of featuring prominent and influential players, we can expect a top-performing WNBA player to grace the cover.

potential candidates for the WNBA Edition cover could indeed include players like Breanna Stewart, who has been a consistent performer for the Seattle Storm, and A’ja Wilson, who has made a significant impact with the Las Vegas Aces. Both players have shown exceptional skill and have been influential in their respective teams.

Other potential candidates could include Nneka Ogwumike from the Los Angeles Sparks or Brittney Griner from the Phoenix Mercury. Both have had impressive performances and could be strong contenders for the cover of the WNBA Edition.

Please note that these are just predictions and the official announcement is expected to be made during the 2024 NBA Summer League. Stay tuned for the official reveal!
