PCBasket 2K25 EuroLeague roster for NBA 2K25

PCBasket 2K25 is set to be the most realistic and faithful EuroLeague roster for NBA 2K25. Created by Shuajota, this fifth version promises to revolutionize the recreation of European basketball in the game. Known to many fans, the roster has made a significant impact in the 2K community over the years, accumulating over a million downloads across all versions since its first release. However, this new mod marks a pivotal moment as it is the first version to be released on the "new gen" of NBA 2K25, now available on the Steam platform.

The Challenge of Creating PCBasket 2K25

With NBA 2K25 being a completely new game structurally, editing the roster has been far from easy due to several inherent limitations. Despite this, PCBasket 2K25 will feature the EuroLeague in the most realistic way possible. Unlike previous versions, this edition will exclusively include the 18 EuroLeague teams, focusing on quality over quantity.

EuroLeague in NBA 2K25

On the new-gen platform, players can limit the number of teams, allowing for a more authentic league experience with only EuroLeague teams. PCBasket 2K25 will be playable in both PlayNOW and MyNBA Eras modes, with an additional Scenario version. Once the artwork is installed, fans can easily download the scenario, accessing a pre-configured league with EuroLeague teams and regulations.

The Most Realistic EuroLeague Experience in NBA 2K25

PCBasket 2K25 offers a completely new experience by replacing the NBA, specifically the modern era of the NBA, with the EuroLeague. This version of the roster creates a unique, more faithful experience than ever before, providing something that has never been seen in NBA 2K. Every aspect of the artwork has been meticulously crafted from scratch, with the highest possible texture resolution.

Team logos, uniforms, and courts have been designed using the best tools available, ensuring exceptional visual quality. The cyberfaces integrated into this roster will look so realistic that they could be mistaken for 2K face scans, with an impressive level of detail that takes immersion to the next level.

FAQ

Q1. On which platforms will it be available?

A1. PCB 2K25, also known as PCBasket 2K25, will be available for NBA 2K25 on PC (Steam). Unfortunately, mods don't work on consoles. However, since PC is cross-platform, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S users will be able to export player attributes to their own roster if they wish to create a roster on their console.

Q2. Will access to the mod be free or paid?

A2. The mod will be paid, with a price of $25. Despite being a massive project (everything has been created from scratch using paid editing tools and add-ons that required a financial investment as well as an incalculable amount of time), the price will be quite affordable compared to other paid mods in the community. You’ll gain access to exclusive, top-quality content: team logos, uniforms, courts, arenas, cyberfaces, and many other elements that bring the recreation of European basketball closer to reality than ever before. Additionally, free updates will be provided for all buyers.

Q3. Why will it be a paid mod if previous versions were free?

A3. This project was not initially planned to be undertaken due to the significant time required and the limited time available for modding, as the creators—only three people—have very little time to dedicate to such a massive project. Creating PCB 2K25 has been no easy task. NBA 2K25 lacks the editing tools available in previous years, which has made the editing process significantly more challenging. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, a financial investment has been made in editing tools and add-ons to access and edit files that are entirely new due to this being a next-gen version. On top of that, an immense amount of time has been dedicated to making this project a reality.

Q4. Will there be more teams like EuroCup, ACB, FIBA, or others?

A4. No, in PCB 2K25, quality is valued over quantity. In new gen, there is the option to limit the number of teams to 18 when creating a MyLEAGUE in MyNBA Eras, which was reason enough to discard the idea of adding more teams that would only delay the project further and prevent focus on aspects that couldn’t be addressed in previous years. The goal of the project is to create the most realistic EuroLeague experience possible, and that starts by focusing exclusively on the teams that participate in the best European basketball league.

Q6. Will there be realistic cyberfaces for players?

A6. The idea is to progressively include cyberfaces for at least the most important players of each team. This year, the process is even more complex than in previous years. It has been necessary to pay for an add-on that allows importing the models into Blender to work on them. Even with years of experience in 3D design, each cyberface takes an average of about 10 hours of work in the best-case scenario, meaning the design of a single player takes several days. This is shared here to make the community aware of the effort behind each recreation and how difficult it is to create something like this.

Q7. Can I play online with friends?

A7. Yes, in NBA 2K25 there is the possibility to play a MyNBA Eras online by pre-loading the PCB 2K25 roster. It is essential that everyone plays from the Steam version with the artwork previously installed.

Q8. Why does the game crash when trying to play a quick game in PlayNOW?

A8. This issue is not related to the PCBasket 2K25 roster but rather how 2K handles custom rosters in general. To create PCBasket 2K25, I had to generate a "MyLEAGUE" file to assign custom team names (since this is the only way to do it) and then convert that file into a roster so the game could read it in both 2K Scenario and PlayNOW. The problem occurs in PlayNOW because, while the game correctly loads the 18 teams in the roster, it also tries to load the full list of teams.

Since the roster originates from a MyLEAGUE file, where only 30 teams exist by default, the game cannot find the missing teams, causing it to crash. This is the reason I initially didn’t share the regular roster, but did so later at your request. It’s important to keep this limitation in mind. This issue does not affect the Scenario mode, where the project works correctly even across multiple consecutive seasons.

Q9. Will there be more cyberfaces?

A9. Yes, cyberfaces are the most time-consuming and the most challenging aspect, but everyone who supports v1.0 will have free access to two massive updates focused mainly on adding more cyberfaces.

    1. If you want FIBA, try doing it yourself. If I dedicate my time to something, it’s something that truly motivates me. I don’t do things just because others like them. This year, I don’t have time for modding, and the little time I do have, I’ll spend on what truly motivates me. FIBA teams are already by default btw.

  3. Helloo, I can't wait for this project to come out! I have only 1 question, will there be mycareer so we can play career mood in euroleague? Best regards!

    1. Thank you for the support. Everything is explained in this post. I don’t mention MyCAREER because 2K doesn’t allow the use of custom rosters in that game mode, so what you’re saying is basically impossible because that option doesn’t exist. What I’m working on is a real EuroLeague scenario where you’ll have a league with the 18 teams playing 34 games, just like in real life.

    1. Why don’t you read the post? There’s even a FAQ where one of the questions is about when I will release it, and I clearly say it’s on March 1st. In fact, I announced it a few weeks ago.
